Our hand-picked Indian Almond leaves are the perfect addition to your axolotl aquarium. These leaves' benefits are not limited to axolotls; they are useful even for fishes, shrimp, frogs, and even snails. The leaves are rich in elements that maintain the right pH in their enclosure and create the right ambiance for pets who are unwell. When soft, the leaves also provide a diet supplement and are known to be nibbled on.

You'll be sent 50 mini leaves in one pack. Simply drop them in their water tank, and you're good to go. That's all you need to do. The leaves will release compounds that are beneficial for your pet, and you'll notice the aquarium water starting to change color to a tea-like hue.

Once introduced into the axolotl habitat, our leaves serve more than one purpose. They provide shelter, a beneficial addition to their diet, energy during recovery, balance pH, and clear the water. Products like bottled black-water extracts may contain other elements mixed in that may not be good for your pet, but with SunGrow's specially dried leaves, you can be assured of optimum quality.

Please note that your axolotl amphibians are antisocial, and you should house one pet in one tank. However, if you own multiple pets, you can make use of our leaves with shrimps, snails, and fish. Over time, the leaves will soften, and these pets will start to use them as they see fit. Shrimps have been known to nibble on soft leaves, while fish sometimes hide under them. Our leaves also serve as leaf litter for your other amphibians like newts, salamanders, and frogs.

Depending on your water tank size and the pH level needed, simply drop a few leaves into your water tank (you can use a pH tester or a drop checker). Over the next few days, the leaves will slowly settle down to the bottom. Since SunGrow Special Leaves are raw, you don't have to boil them down. Simply drop these leaves straight into your tank... it's that easy to use. These leaves can also be used in a cage to make a more naturalistic environment.
